ABOUT JOE DALO
Joe Dalo is a Los Angeles–based actor, comedian, writer, producer, and production designer — widely recognized both for his on-screen charisma and his behind-the-scenes ingenuity. Known throughout the industry as a legend in hidden camera and reality productions, Joe’s creativity and technical expertise have helped shape some of the most memorable projects in television and film.
Joe’s first professional acting job was playing Michael Just in Tony and Tina’s Wedding in Philadelphia, a role that led him to Off-Broadway, Japan, and the 1st National Tour. His love for live performance then drew him into stand-up comedy, where he quickly made a name for himself, headlining at the 1996 Edinburgh Festival and earning “Comic of the Month” honors at New York’s Comic Strip Live.
Expanding beyond performance, Joe found success behind the scenes, establishing himself as a versatile creative force. He worked as a special effects designer on projects such as Jackass 3D, known for his ability to blend comedy, chaos, and clever design. His mix of technical know-how and natural comedic timing also landed him in front of the camera as co-host of the Disney Channel series Code: 9, where he introduced families to the world of hidden-camera pranks with heart and humor.
Joe’s acting credits include playing the villainous Aytas in the comedy-horror film The Painting: The Art of Slaying, as well as creating and starring in the web series Dummy.
Currently, Joe is the production designer for the soon-to-be-released Kevin Hart, Druski, and Kai Cenat film Livestream From Hell, pulling off an ambitious, high-energy shoot that’s already generating buzz. He also serves as the production designer for the new season of Foul Play with Anthony Davis, continuing to bring bold, inventive visuals to every project he takes on.
Now based in Hollywood with his wife, Renee, and their pets, Joe continues to build a diverse career that bridges comedy, design, and storytelling — always finding new ways to surprise audiences and keep them entertained.
